One of the major blessings for young families in our church is our nursery program. We have a staff of paid nursery workers who take care of the children every week during Sunday morning worship and Wednesday night fellowship. Most parents really appreciate this ministry.
Our nursery (birth-5yrs) gives children the opportunity to grow in a loving, caring environment and teaches basics about who Jesus is. Each of our nursery staff members is well trained in childcare and has a heart for children. Our goal is to give our preschoolers the utmost care and comfort at each visit!
When you arrive on Sunday, you will sign your child in at the kiosk. If you’d prefer a contactless check in, you may download the KidMin App to check your child in from your smartphone.
You will be greeted at your child’s classroom door and asked general health questions, and have your child’s temperature taken. We ask that parents do not enter the classrooms at this time. Your children will be dropped off and picked up at the door. If you are a nursing mother, you may pick up your baby and take them to the Quiet Area to nurse.
If your child is potty trained, please try to take them to the restroom before dropping them off. We understand they may need to go during class time and we will take them to the bathroom if needed.
If you or anyone in your family is experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms, has had a fever, or has been in contact with someone with known or suspected covid in the past 14 days, we ask that you stay home and join us on our live stream!
Cleaning Protocol and Reducing Risk:
Rooms will be sanitized before and after use. All toys will be disinfected and we will have hand sanitizer readily available. All of our nursery teachers will be wearing masks and washing their hands regularly. Masks are not required for preschoolers, but they are suggested.
Due to the nature of young children, we will not be able to physically distance them. However, we will be limiting class size to limit exposure.
At this time, we will not be able to have snacks and drinks in the classroom. We know this may be hard on some kids, so we suggest you give them a snack before coming or have one ready after the service.
We ask that you pick up your child directly after service so that our workers are able to disinfect the rooms.
For the safety of everyone, if you or your child tests positive for Covid within 14 days of attending nursery, please let us know. You may call the church or email Rachel at email@example.com. If we learn that a child or teacher has tested positive, we will alert those who were in close contact with them.
We’re excited to welcome you back,
Harvest Nursery Team
